Article on PEFMED has been published in number 57 of the specialised magazine about environmental technologies and projects
“The harmonisation of all EU environmental certification systems through a single Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) will change the rules of the internal market, consumer strategies and the way in which environmental innovations are incorporated into the industrial supply chain”
The article introduces the project and its main goal, which is to achieve sustainability throughout the production lifecycle of food and beverages.
“With a sample of approximately 100 companies located in nine European regions, this method will be used to record the impact of a product throughout its lifecycle, from cultivation and raw materials, through processing, transport, consumption, disposal and recycling”
Then it proceeds explaining in detail the activities carried out to implement PEF in the MED regions, introducing the project partners and the expected results.
