One of the product category investigated by the PEFMED project through the stress tests is the olive oil production, processing and commercialization. Surely this is one of the most interesting case studies because of the importance of olive oil production for the Mediterranean Countries and the high potential of replication.
Thanks to the PEFMED project, Oleocampo has gained key-inputs to assess the environmental, energy, carbon and water footprint during the processing phases, confirming a positive trends but also highlighting some possible rooms of improvement.
